Anti-relapse therapy of endometriosis: possible variations

Research aim: to determine the clinical efficacy and safety of bioavailable curcumin Longimin® in complex anti-relapse therapy patients with extragenital endometriosis after surgery.Materials methods. Study involved 45 women a mean age 29.3 ± 3.6 years diagnosis endometriosis. After surgical treatment this disease all were prescribed dienogest 2 mg/day for 6 months purpose. that, 22 did not receive drug (group 1) other 23 started six-month course 400 mg 2).Results. 12 observation 3 cases (13.6%) newly formed foci found among group 1, two which multi-endometriomas, third was retrocervical heterotopia. There no signs recurrence sequential use curcumin. In addition, completion hormonal number chronic pelvic pain 1 increased average score on visual analogue scale (VAS) by 80% (p ≤0.05). It accompanied stable moderately high level anxiety throughout period.
